Thoreau Sack

The Thoreau Sack is part of our Clutch Boston line, consisting of pouches, materials and stories that are native to New England, reflecting our rich culture and history.

The basic sack is repurposed coffee burlap and is lined and there is an interior and exterior pocket.  Fabrics are a mix of remnant designer fabrics and repurposed clothing donations that were diverted from the discard pile. The Thoreau Sack fabrics are black, white, and khaki. Exact colors and textures will vary due to the nature of repurposed fabrics.

A grommet in each corner makes the pouch versatile.  Use it full length with the over-the-shoulder strap or fold the pouch to be inserted into a satchel or briefcase.

Sizing is 11 inches by 13 inches with a grommet in all 4 corners.  The removable shoulder strap is cotton webbing with two clasps and approximately 41 inches in length.

This simple yet innovative style was designed to be manufactured locally in a vocational workshop for training purposes.  Made in Boston by diverse members of our community. Made in USA.  Please allow up to three weeks for items that are made in our vocational workshops.
