Simple Ribbon Necklaces are remarkable eco-friendly jewelry!  So pretty, it's amazing they are actually from old broken pieces of glass!  Each necklace is a 5/8" diamond is hand cut from reclaimed antique glass, and hangs from a hand hammered sterling ribbon.   All wire used is recycled and milled in the US.  As with all our pieces, each is carefully designed to use use no solder or flux which produces chemicals that are extremely harmful to the environment. Four (4) Colors: 5/8" diamond, hangs from a hand formed and hammered sterling ribbon and comes on 18" sterling box chain.  - Cobalt: hand cut rectangles from antique Milk of Magnesia, Noxzema, and Vicks Vap-O-Rub bottles  - Mason Jar: vintage reclaimed World War II Era Mason Jars  - Olive: found in soda and wine bottles from the late 1800's through the mid-1900's  - Ruby: from vintage 1940's ruby beer bottles, and royal ruby depression glass Bottled Up Design and Laura Bergman, Reclaim Artist started as a avid glass and bottle collector. As a collector, I have spent countless hours poking through the many old glass and bottle dumps scattered throughout the natural wooded habitats and rural farmlands. One thing that has always bothered me though, is how collectors take the valuable whole bottles and glass pieces, but leave the broken glass behind for the environment and the wildlife to deal with.  Though broken, this glass still has beauty and history, so I decided to pick up the pieces and turn them into something beautiful again, in my remarkable line of recycled glass jewelry. Each piece of this eco friendly jewelry is truly "A Little Piece of History for you to Wear."  A truly unique way to preserve the past while helping the future.
