Natural Fiber Packaging

Environmentally friendly packaging made from annually renewable natural fibers and post consumer recycled PET plastic.  A great alternative to traditional all-plastic packaging.  - Small Square: 3.5" by 3.75" by 1.25" deep
 - Medium Deep: 3.5" by 5.0" by 1.5" deep
 - Medium Long: 3.5" by 6.75" by 0.8" deep

 - Sleeves:  100 Packages = 100 fiber trays and 100 unit plastic cover
 - Quantity:  all come in Sets of 1000 Cases = 1000 fiber trays and 1000 unit plastic cover

The plastic cover simply slides on, so no extra equipment is necessary. With a wrap around label, it creates a very secure and tamper resistant closure.

What materials are used in the Eco Hanging Packs?  The tray is made from wheat straw, a natural fiber and agricultural by-product. The plastic lid is made from 80% rPET (post-consumer recycled PET plastic) and 20% PET plastic.

How can you dispose of the Eco Hanging Packs?  The plastic lids are recyclable (#1 resin code) and the trays are biodegradable and compostable.

How do the lid and tray attach?  The lid and tray slide together. The plastic lid has three folded over edges (left, right and bottom sides) and the fiber tray has a flange on all sides. The plastic cover simply slides over the fiber tray and is secured by a label. No extra equipment is needed. It is a very simple and effective method of securing the packaging from tampering.

Label Options  We do not provide the labels or the label printing. However, the packaging is designed to be used with a standard 7.5" x 1.5" label.  We can provide a list of label sources for your reference -- including digital, offset, inkjet. Depending on your volume and printing needs there are a variety of options.

How are the fiber products made?  The items are formed using a molded pulp manufacturing process. The raw fiber material is made into a pulp slurry. A vacuum sucks the slurry into a mold where it is formed into the desired tray shape. The tray is then dried and the raw edges are trimmed off. All excess material is returned to the pulp slurry for a zero waste system and all excess water is evaporated during the production. No toxic or hazardous materials are introduced or expelled into the environment during the manufacturing for a very earth friendly process.
